Der Weg in die Freiheit ist ein beschwerlicher, aber drei Wiener Schüler haben sie davon nicht einschüchtern lassen. Sie mussten aus ihrer jeweiligen Heimat flüchten und erzählen jetzt als Teilnehmer des Redewettbewerbs Sag’s Multi von ihren Strapazen, Wünschen und Träumen.

Boubacar, Farhad und Mohamad Ali kennen sich nicht persönlich, haben aber einiges gemeinsam. Sie haben Krieg und Vertreibung erlebt und wollen sich in Österreich ein neues Leben aufbauen. Alle drei haben sie Mut und Ehrgeiz bewiesen. Auch wenn die Sprache noch nicht perfekt sitzt, trauten sie sich beim Redewettbewerb Sag’s Multi mitzumachen, sich auf die Bühne zu stellen und dem Publikum ihre Geschichte vom Krieg und ihrer Flucht zu erzählen.

Boubacar Diallo flüchtete ohne seine Eltern, nur mit einem Freund der Familie, nach Österreich. Seine Familie hat er seitdem nicht gesehen. Aus seiner Heimat konnte er außer ein paar Kleidungsstücken nichts mitnehmen. Er wohnt alleine und bekommt Unterstützung durch betreutes Wohnen. In Afrika war es immer sein großer Traum, Tennis zu spielen. Jetzt kann er seinem Lieblingshobby in Österreich nachgehen. Er will Wirtschaft studieren und seine Familie bald wiedersehen.

Ich möchte von drei Reisen erzählen, welche die wichtigsten in meinen Leben sein sollten.
Zwei dieser Reisen liegen noch in der Zukunft. Die erste Reise führte mich aus einem Land, in dem es keine keine Presse- und Meinungsfreiheit, keine Chancen auf Demokratie gab. Ein Land, das reich ist, aber Menschen hungern. Ein Land, wo wenige Machthabern das Volk ausbeutet und unterdrücken. Es war die Reise aus diesem Land nach Österreich. Sie hatte für mich eine enorme Bedeutung. Zum ersten Mal sah ich mit eigenen Augen, was ich bisher nur aus dem Fernsehen und aus dem Schulunterricht gekannt hatte: eine funktionierende Demokratie und Menschen, die in Freiheit und Wohlstand leben. Ich habe verstanden, dass Armut nicht ein Schicksal ist, sondern die Konsequenz von Diktatur, Ausbeutung und Unterdrückung.
Den Haag
Meine zweite wichtige Reise soll mich nach Den Haag führen. Ich sage Ihnen warum:
In der Hauptstadt meines Landes gibt es ein großes Fußball-Stadion. Es trägt den Namen 28. September – der Tag, an dem das Referendum zur Unabhängigkeit stattgefunden hat.
Und genau am 28. September 2009 demonstrierten dort Tausende Menschen gegen die Diktatur der Militärjunta. Die Demonstration wurde blutig aufgelöst. Die Bilanz: 150 Menschen wurden erschossen, Hunderte Frauen vergewaltigt, Hunderte Menschen zum Teil schwer verletzt. Die Täter dieses Massakers haben Namen. Der Hauptverantwortliche war der Chef der Militärjunta und heißt Moussa Dadis Camara. Ich fordere, dass Moussa Dadis Camara und seine Mittäter vor Gericht gestellt werden und zwar vor den Internationalen Strafgerichtshof in Den Haag. Eine freie Gesellschaft und eine Demokratie können nicht auf Verbrechen gegründet werden, die ungestraft bleiben. Meine zweite wichtige Reise möchte ich darum nach Den Haag machen, zum Internationalen Strafgerichtshof – als Prozessbeobachter oder auch als Zeuge.
Gelobtes Land
Die dritte Reise wird vielleicht die allerwichtigste sein. Sie soll mich in ein Land führen, das einmal eine brutale Militärdiktatur war, in ein Land, das sich zwischenzeitig zur Demokratie gewandelt hat, in ein Land, wo die Menschen frei sind und nicht mehr hungern. Diese Reise – ich nenne sie „I have a Dream“ – wird mich in ein schönes Land mit einer wunderbaren Landschaft, mit Meeresküsten, Tiefebenen und Gebirgen führen. Es ist reich an Bodenschätzen und an Chancen. Ein Land mit Menschen, die klug und fleißig sind und die in Freiheit und Sicherheit leben wollen, frei von Hunger und Elend. Also in ein Land mit Menschen, die nicht viel anders sind als die Menschen in Österreich oder in vielen anderen Ländern dieser Welt. Diese wichtigste Reise wird mich nach Guinea führen, nach Guinea Conakry in West Afrika, mein Heimatland.
Die Stationen meines Lebens
Farhad war zu klein, um sich an die Flucht mit seiner Familie zu erinnern, aber er weiß aus Erzählungen, dass viele Hürden zu überwinden waren. Seine Liebe zu Afghanistan ist noch immer groß. Aus der Heimat hat ihm seine Oma die Volkstracht geschickt, die er stolz aufbewahrt. In seinem Zimmer hat er die afghanische Flagge aufgehängt, weil er sich gerne an seine Wurzeln erinnert. Er schätzt die Chancen, die er in Österreich hat und will sie nutzen. Sein großer Traum ist es, Schauspieler zu werden. Wenn es damit nicht klappt, will er Psychologie und Sportwissenschaften studieren.

Ohne Heimat sein, heißt leiden. Und ich leide darunter, dass ich mich an meine Heimat nicht erinnern kann, weil ich zu klein war. Ich habe Sehnsucht nach meinem Vaterland. Als meine Mutter Roya auf meine Geschwister und mich aufpasste, kämpfte mein Vater an der Front für das afghanische Militär. Er kämpfte für uns, für Afghanistan und gegen die Mudschaheddin. Er wurde zwei Mal angeschossen, weil er für den Frieden kämpfte. Auch meine Mutter wurde zwei Mal angeschossen. Als die Mudschaheddin herausfanden, dass mein Vater gegen sie kämpfte, floh meine Familie. Für uns gab es in Afghanistan kein Leben mehr.
Als wir in Österreich ankamen, wurden wir sofort von der österreichischen Polizei festgenommen und nach Traiskirchen gebracht. Man hat uns fotografiert und Fingerabdrücke abgenommen. Dort wohnten wir etwa drei Jahre. Das war kein Leben, sondern ein Gefängnis. Das ganze Gelände war durch Gitter und Zäune abgeriegelt. Mehrere Wachleute mit Hunden waren entlang des Zauns unterwegs. Alles wurde per Video überwacht. Wenn das kein Gefängnis ist, was ist es dann?
Angekommen
Aber beschwerten wir uns nicht. Man hat uns so viel versprochen. Wir bekamen einen Brief, dass wir einen österreichischen Pass bekommen werden und waren überglücklich. Alles andere war uns egal, denn man sagte im Lager: Wer einen österreichischen Pass erhält, der wird hier bleiben und ein schönes Leben haben. Man versprach uns, dass wir eine Wohnung mit drei Zimmern bekommen würden. Wir zogen von Baden nach wien. Als wir ankamen, stellten wir fest, dass auch unser neues Zuhause ein Heim war. Alle Träume waren zerstört und Versprechungen wurden nicht gehalten.
Nach zwei Jahren konnten wir uns eine private Wohnung mieten. Jetzt arbeiten mein Vater und meine ältere Schwester und wir führen ein gutes Leben.
Das Leben ist eine Reise
Mohamad Ali musste mit 15 Jahren alleine aus Afghanistan flüchten und seine Familie zurücklassen. Als Erinnerung gab ihm seine Schwester ein Taschentuch mit, dass sie selbst bestickt hatte. Seine Flucht war ebenso abenteuerlich wie strapaziös. Jetzt verbringt er seine Zeit am liebsten in der Schule, weil er dort viele Freunde hat und er viel lernen will. Sein größtes Hobby ist eine malaisische Kampfsportart. Doch wenn seine Sportkollegen ins Ausland fahren und bei Wettkämpfen teilnehmen, muss er hier bleiben, weil er nicht ausreisen darf.

Durch dramatische Umstände wurde ich 2008 gezwungen meine Heimat Afghanistan zu verlassen. Um nach Österreich zu gelangen, musste ich alleine von meiner Heimatstadt nach Pakistan reisen. Von dort bin ich zuerst zu Fuß, dann mit einem Bus und Lkw in den Iran gefahren. Von dort gelangte ich in die Türkei. Die Hürden waren groß:
Zuerst verbrachte ich drei Tage in den türkischen Bergen, ohne etwas zu essen. Mit einem Boot bin ich übers offene Meer an die griechische Grenze gelangt. Das hat mehr als acht Stunden gedauert und war sehr gefährlich und anstrengend. Schließlich hat mich und andere Flüchtlinge die griechische Polizei entdeckt. Wir mussten fünf Tage auf dem Revier verbringen. Anschließend wurde ich mit einem Schiff nach Athen gebracht, wo ich von der griechischen Regierung eine einmonatige Aufgenthaltsgenehmigung bekam. Ich habe 25 Tage in Patras, an der Küste Griechenlands verbracht, wo ich mich in einem Lkw versteckte. Dann landete ich an einem unbekannten Ort in Italien. Ich habe den Zug nach Österreich genommen. Als ich ankam, brachte mich die Polizei nach Traiskirchen, wo ich betreut wurde. Ich bat die Polizei um Hilfe, meinen in Österreich lebenden Bruder zu finden und tatsächlich brachten sie ihn zu mir nach Traiskirchen. Das war, seit Langem, ein wunderschöner Tag für mich und eie Entscheidung, in Österreich zu bleiben und hier mein Leben aufzubauen. Derzeit gehe ich in die Schule und habe auch schon ganz gut Deutsch gelernt.
Ich habe einen Abschluss in der polytechnischen Schule mit einem guten Zeugnis geschafft und hoffe, dass ich weiters viel in meinem Leben dazulernen kann.
Zukunft
Besonders interessieren mich Sprachen und Kulturen anderer Völker. Ich mag Österreich sehr, weil ich mich hier frei fühle und zur Schule gehen kann. Die Kinder und Jugendlichen haben hier viele Möglichkeiten, einen guten Beruf zu erlernen. Außerdem fühle ich mich von den Menschen hier gut angenommen.
Mein großer Traum ist, dass die Kinder eines Tages auch in meinem Heimatland Afghanistan, frei zur Schule gehen können. Besonders wichtig finde ich, dass auch Frauen einen Beruf ergreifen und über ihr Leben selbst entscheiden dürfen.
Derzeit können 80 Prozent der Leute in Afghanistan nicht schreiben und lesen. Viele Kinder und Mütter sterben jeden Tag. Die Leute haben keinen Zugang zu Ärzten und Krankenhäusern. Diese kosten viel Geld, aber die einfachen Menschen haben keines!
Die ganze Welt weiß, dass in meinem Heimatland seit 35 Jahren Krieg herrscht. Zum Glück habe ich meinen Bruder hier in Wien. Mein großer Wunsch ist es, KFZ-Mechaniker zu werden. Außerdem mache ich seit vier Jahren eine Kampfsportart (silat gayung fatani), die mir sehr viel bedeutet. Gerne würde ich an internationalen Wettbewerben teilnehmen. Derzeit darf ich aber leider nicht in ein anderes Land reisen. Mein Leben ist wie eine große Reise, in der ich weitergehe und lebe.
Sag’s Multi ist ein Redewettbewerb für SchülerInnen aus Wien, die eine nicht-deutsche Muttersprache haben. Die von ihnen verfassten Reden werden vor einer ausgewählten Jury vorgetragen. Diese bewertet dann die Sprachkompetenz in Deutsch sowie in der Muttersprache.
